MSFPointDetailTileDataSource

Objective-C

@interface MSFPointDetailTileDataSource : MSFTileDataSource

Swift

class MSFPointDetailTileDataSource : MSFTileDataSource

A decorator that rebuilds a coarse tile’s point layer from the finer tiles beneath it, so a zoom-thinned layer (e.g. OpenMapTiles mountain_peak) keeps its points on coarsened terrain tiles. Only points are carried over; other layers and tiles at or past the detail zoom pass through.

  • Constructs a PointDetailTileDataSource object.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (id)initWithDataSource:(MSFTileDataSource *)dataSource
                   layerName:(NSString *)layerName
                  detailZoom:(int)detailZoom;

    Swift

    init!(dataSource: MSFTileDataSource!, layerName: String!, detailZoom: Int32)

    Parameters

    dataSource

    The tile data source to read from.

    layerName

    The point layer to rebuild, e.g. “mountain_peak”.

    detailZoom

    The zoom whose tiles are read, where the source keeps every feature.

  • Returns the layer that is rebuilt.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (NSString *)getLayerName;

    Swift

    func getLayerName() -> String!

    Return Value

    The layer name.

  • Returns the zoom whose tiles are read.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (int)getDetailZoom;

    Swift

    func getDetailZoom() -> Int32

    Return Value

    The detail zoom.

  • Sets the zoom whose tiles are read.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (void)setDetailZoom:(int)detailZoom;

    Swift

    func setDetailZoom(_ detailZoom: Int32)

    Parameters

    detailZoom

    The new detail zoom.

  • Returns how many zoom levels below the requested tile this will reach.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (int)getMaxDetailLevels;

    Swift

    func getMaxDetailLevels() -> Int32

    Return Value

    The maximum number of levels. The default is 3.

  • Sets how many zoom levels below the requested tile this will reach. Costs 4^levels tile reads per rebuilt tile; beyond it the source’s thinning stands.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (void)setMaxDetailLevels:(int)levels;

    Swift

    func setMaxDetailLevels(_ levels: Int32)

    Parameters

    levels

    The new maximum number of levels.

  • Returns how many features a rebuilt tile may carry.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (int)getMaxFeatures;

    Swift

    func getMaxFeatures() -> Int32

    Return Value

    The maximum feature count. The default is 256.

  • Sets how many features a rebuilt tile may carry, highest rank first. Without a cap the label culler pays for every point on every frame.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (void)setMaxFeatures:(int)maxFeatures;

    Swift

    func setMaxFeatures(_ maxFeatures: Int32)

    Parameters

    maxFeatures

    The new maximum feature count, or 0 for no cap.

  • Returns the property a rebuilt tile’s features are ranked by.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (NSString *)getRankProperty;

    Swift

    func getRankProperty() -> String!

    Return Value

    The property name. The default is “ele”.

  • Sets the numeric property a rebuilt tile’s features are ranked by when the cap bites. A feature without a numeric value ranks last.

    Declaration

    Objective-C

    - (void)setRankProperty:(NSString *)name;

    Swift

    func setRankProperty(_ name: String!)

    Parameters

    name

    The new property name.
